Aikido Classes with Instructor John Duke - Free to Members Only! (Cancelled Monday Class for August only)
John is offering this Martial Art class for free to all members and the class is being held Mon, Tues and Thurs from 7.00 - 8.30pm. Aikido is based on the principles of balance and harmony and is an effective, non-aggressive, style of self defense. This class can be enjoyed by men, women and children of all ages.
Pirate Wellness Center offers group exercise classes Monday through Saturday. This schedule will allow members the opportunity to take several cardio, strength training or yoga classes each week.
Instructors Kathie Rockett, Jane Basford, Deborah Jacobson, Vicki Gladwell, Halley Haack, and Roslyn SIlva represent the best the Keys has to offer in group fitness instruction. Together, they hold nationally recognized certifications in every area of group fitness. Their many years of combined experience teaching group exercise classes provides a wealth of fitness knowledge to members and guests of the Center.
Pirate Wellness Center will increase the variety and frequency of classes as membership increases and scheduling permits. For more information contact Buzz Busbey at 305 744 3348.
For the safety and enjoyment of all participating in group classes please observe the following:
- Clean athletic shoes should be worn at all times (unless class is told otherwise).
- Weights are allowed only in classes designed for their use.
- Participants are asked not to enter classes after the first 15 minutes. The warm-up is very important to ensure your safety.
- The sound system is to be used by Pirate Wellness Center staff only.
- Please consult the instructor with any comments or questions you have about your ability to participate, or questions in general concerning the class.
